The heart behind the creations
My journey into art and craft began with a deep love for artistic expression. The calming act of capturing unique features and intricate details in my drawings brings a profound sense of peace, both to myself and, I hope, to those who view my work. It always brings a smile to people's faces, and that joy is truly invaluable.
During COVID, I discovered the wonderful world of crochet. Crafting gifts for loved ones, from wearable items to household treasures like coasters, became a calming and fulfilling activity. As they say, find a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life. My drawings started in 2019, initially as a gift, but after someone recognised my skill and encouraged me to pursue it, a whole new world began to take shape. What was formally "Wright Portraits" now lives on as "Katie-Ann's Studio".
The joy of bringing visions to life
What I love most about creating is the peaceful and emotionally regulating process it offers. Seeing the smiles on people's faces when they receive a piece truly warms my heart. My affection for animals has always been strong, and being able to capture their essence in portraits, giving them a place of honour in people's homes, is incredibly rewarding.
Whether it’s a detailed animal portrait, a fantastical creature, or a bespoke crochet item, each piece is crafted with care and a desire to spread happiness. I pour my heart into every stitch and stroke, hoping to bring your visions to life and add a touch of handcrafted warmth to your world.

What makes my studio truly unique is its authentic and genuine nature. There's no hired space or fancy equipment; it's just me, a mum of 3 in Barnoldswick (UK) who loves to draw and crochet. This personal touch ensures that every item you receive isn't from a faceless company, but from a real person dedicated to bringing smiles through her craft.
